This website was created by the Titahi Bay Community Trust.  To see who the current Trustees are, click here.

 What is the Titahi Bay Community Trust?

The Titahi Bay Community Trust is a registered Charity (number CC48197) created to raise awareness of, and supply and/or supplement, civil defence resources for the Bay area.  We raise funds for this purpose via advertising subscriptions on our community website and through other fundraising activities.  Why should I register with your site?

Anyone can browse www.titahibay.org.nz but to interact with the site, such as placing notices on our Community Noticeboard or adding events to our Events Calendar, users need to be registered.  This is to ensure that only bona fide information is placed on the website.  To ensure the site not used for spurious or inappropriate reasons, the Trustees reserve the right to check the name and contact details of those registering and reject non bona fide registrations.

 How long will my registration take?

To ensure only legitimate registrations are activated, a verification email will be sent to the email address you registered with.  Once you have checked your details and clicked on the verification link, your account is activitated.

 Will I get spammed?

No.  The Trust does not and will not sell registration information.  The Trust may send occasional emails (no more than 4 a year) and recipients will have the option to unsubscribe from these.

 I have a business, what are my options?

We welcome and invite all businesses that are based in, or service, the Titahi Bay area to register with our site.  All relevant business can receive a free Basic Listing in our Business Directory or select other advertising options.  Click here to find out about advertising on our site. 

The Trust's Charitable Status allows all advertisers/donees to apply to the Inland Revenue for a tax credit (individuals) or a tax deduction (businesses) for any Trust receipts.

 Why can't I pay by credit card?

We have investigated credit card payment options and unfortunately they all involve significant charges.  As we are a charitable trust, raising funds for charitable purposes, we wish to keep our overheads as low as possible - and maximise our fundraising impact - by avoiding such commissions.
